LIG Nex1 participates in LIMA 2025 in Malaysia 2025.05.20


· Exhibition of top-quality guided weapons to accelerate air defense solution exports to Southeast Asia

LIG Nex1 participated in the Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition 2025 (LIMA 2025), the largest Southeast Asian exposition for the defense industry,
held in the Malaysian city on May 20, 2025. The company introduced its state-of-the-art guided munition systems that represent K-defense. 


At the exposition, LIG Nex1 displayed three missile systems including the M-SAM II, a mid-range high- to medium-altitude surface-to-air missile; the SAAM, a surface-to-air anti-aircraft weapon for missile defense;
and the KP-SAM (Chiron), a portable short-range air defense weapon.


The company proposed solutions accommodating the needs of the Southeast Asian defense market based on the proven performance and operation experiences befitting its renown as a leading provider of guided weapon systems.
Notably, it is currently focusing on the export of the SAAM in global markets including Southeast Asia, emphasizing that it can be immediately utilized in forms optimized for local defense environments.
The company hopes to use this opportunity to contribute to promoting the security and air defense capabilities of major Southeast Asian countries including Malaysia.
At this exhibition, Hyundai Heavy Industries’ HDP-1500 Neo patrol vessel and HDL-10000 landing ship were also showcased, demonstrating the competitiveness of K-defense through the collaboration of the two companies.
Additionally, LIG Nex1 explained its accumulated experience and expertise in the integrated operation of guided weapon systems and platforms as well as connection to actual combat systems.
